Japan Habba is a India-Japanese cultural exchange event held annually in Bangalore. In particular, it is the biggest celebration of Japanese culture in India, bringing in an audience of over 6,000 enthusiastic visitors!

The Japan Quiz is conducted every year during Japan Habba with participants from various schools in Bangalore. It is conducted by the Indo Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and supported by the University of Tokyo - India Office. The purpose of the quiz is to make students aware of Japanese culture, interest in higher education in Japan and experience it at the venue. The finals of the quiz programme will be held on the stage and winners from the prelims will compete to be crowned the best!

We are a Japanese expat wives bollywood dance team. Kawaii denotes a Japanese artistic and cultural style that emphasizes the quality of cuteness. Kalakar means artists in Kannada. So, we are cute artists. For expat wives, it's important to create a fulfilling, rewarding life abroad. Bollywood dance is the one we found so attractive and enjoyable. Born 1974 in Japan, Shukou Tsuchiya, an award-winning Master of Nanboku Suiboku ink painting (traditional Japanese ink painting) and a stain artist, embarked on a journey as an ink painting artist when he was 18. In 2019, he won the grand prize awarded by the prestigious organization, All Japan Suiboku Painting Association, for his outstanding achievements, contribution to ink paint culture and for his astonishing creative artworks. Please enjpy a live performance of his art as he brings the graceful strokes to life during Japan Habba.
Hana wa Saku with Indian musical instruments

This is fusion of Indian Music based on the song Hanawa saku, we will try to showcase the intricacies of Indian music using traditional instruments like the Veena which is one of the oldest traditional instruments of India that resembles the shamisen or the koto of Japan and also the Western instruments like the harmonium and Violin which are an integral part of Indian music now.

They were ready to sacrifice the dress for poor girl whole heartedly, Shown their devotion towards the god with whatever they had. Japan Quiz (Prelims)
Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Japan Quiz is a quiz for middle-high school students in and around Bangalore. The main purpose is of this quiz is to make students aware of Japanese culture. Through the quiz, IJCCI also endeavors to expose them to opportunities for higher education in Japan.

The University of Tokyo
The University of Tokyo has been participating in Japan Habba and has been guiding aspiring students who would want to study in Japan. This year, Kyoto University will also join the Japan Study Fair. Both universities will make presentations on Japanese colleges, courses offered, the fee structure and related information.
Cosplay Contest (Prelims)
Consulate-General of Japan in Bengaluru
A contest for cosplayers dressed up as characters from Japanese Anime and Manga. The preliminary round will be held in Seminar Hall A, where the audience will vote for cosplayers to advance to the final round to be held at the Main J. N. Tata Auditorium. A panel of Judges will subsequently decide the winners of the final round.
Nure-onna ("Wet Woman")
Madhavi Menon
This is an adaptation of the Japanese mythological character Nure-onna and Daitsuki. It describes the fascination that a young 8 year old boy has for nature, and how a bond develops between Nure-onna and Daitsuki. It uses the traditional Indian classical dance form of Kathakali juxtaposed with Japanese music.

JKA Bangalore is an official branch of JKAWF India, Kolkata, which is, in turn, a direct branch of the Japan Karate Association (Nihon Karate Kyoukai) in Tokyo, Japan — JKA Bangalore is dedicated to passing on the tradition of Karate in our country. The members of JKA Bangalore will perform a demonstration of kihons, kata and kumite.

A seminar on Haiku Poetry
Consulate-General of Japan in Bengaluru
Haiku is one of the most popular forms of poetry today. Evolved within the islands of Japan for several centuries, today every country and language has its own Haiku society and practitioners. During the seminar, Sourav will shed light on what makes Haiku so popular as a form, and discuss the life and work of three of its greatest masters: Matsuo Basho, Yosa Buson, and Kobayashi Issa. The seminar will also cover the nuances of communicating their emotions through images, and the art of building objective images using words and cutting and juxtaposing them, a tool extensively used by poets who write haikus. Through a guided discussion, attendees will also be encouraged to write a haiku or two of their own.
